EMLA - auf deutsch

"EMLA - auf deutsch" is a branch of EMLA, established to be active mostly in German-speaking countries being the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Austria. The language dominantly used is German. Being part of EMLA, the aims of EMLA-auf deutsch will be the same as aims of EMLA.

EMLA - auf deutsch is established to increase participation of German speaking members of EMLA in the activities of the Association, in order to coordinate activities of German speaking professionals as well as attract more German speaking professionals to become members of EMLA. All the members of EMLA-auf deutsch are members of EMLA.

EMLA - auf deutsch is established by the Executive Committee of EMLA according to Article 1.7 of By-laws of EMLA (July 23, 2009).

The activities of EMLA-auf deutsch include but not limited to:
1. publication of newsletters, journals, books on EMLA topics, including translations or summaries of publications in other languages (especially English and Russian), either in print or online.
2. organizing or co-organizing conferences, training courses or seminars, workshops, exchange of experience, and other activities (in German) as proposed by local committee to achieve the aims of EMLA. All EMLA members may take part, however, no translation is granted from EMLA-auf deutsch.
3. supporting the participation of German-speaking professionals in activities of EMLA. This may include help in translation, travel arrangements, etc.

Every EMLA member is be free to participate in EMLA-auf deutsch regardless of nationality and speech.

A "local committee" of EMLA - auf deutsch consists of 5 members proposed by Executive Committee of EMLA.

To fulfil its aims, EMLA-auf deutsch may establish a banc account, charge dues etc. All the money on the bank account of EMLA-auf deutsch (if it is established) will belong to EMLA.

All activities of EMLA - auf deutsch, as being part of activities of EMLA, have to be agreed upon by Executive Committee of EMLA, who will define procedures to be used.

EMLA-auf deutsch may use either EMLA-logo, or a similar EMLA-auf deutsch logo in its official issues under restrictions stated in By-laws of EMLA. The rules to use logo of EMLA-auf deutsch are the same as for the use of the logo of EMLA.

Being part of EMLA, EMLA-auf deutsch may be closed by EMLA Executive Committee. In this case, the activities and properties of EMLA-auf deutsch will be directly under control of Executive Committee of EMLA
